Victor came to my house and I showed him a picture of a sofa I liked but it needed some modifications to fit within the parameters of my bay window in the living room. He was so accommodating, sketched everything out on a giant piece of paper so I could see how the shape would fit into the exact area. He made me feel so comfortable about the process. He was very thorough in his work. I ordered the material myself and he saved me a lot of money by finding a blemish before cutting into it. I was able to return it and get a new bolt of fabric. When they delivered the sofa, it was exactly what I wanted. I have received so many compliments on it from friends and family. I just love it! I thought it was time to turn in my 15 year old sofa for a new one, but, when I started looking for a new one, I didn't find anything that fit the spot and the more I thought about it, I realized that the "green" thing to do, was to recover and re-stuff my old sofa. I called Knops; they came in less than a week after I called them and measured and told me how much fabric I would need; I found the perfect fabric and had it shipped directly to Knops; they came and picked the sofa up and the work was done in 3-4 weeks; the sofa was returned to me; and it was perfect - better than new and no land fill had been used. I hope and expect that my sofa will last another 10 years and unequivocally recommend Knops to anyone who is looking to have upholstery work done.

We’ve worked with Victor on everything from building a custom chaise, reupholstering an existing recliner, crafting a bench cushion from an animal hide, and creating a custom leather pillow. Their end product is extremely well made and Victor always delivers on time. Our custom chaise is absolutely gorgeous. We had seen a chaise in a retail store with a design we liked. Victor created the same chaise with a more sturdy, quality design. Victor reupholstered an existing chair and brought it back to life. Not only did he replace the upholstery but he also recommended adding more cushioning to restore the chair to its original brand new feel. No detail is too small…Victor created a large orange leather pillow for us. We weren’t sure what color stitching we should use to pick up the colors in the couch so Victor sent us 3 samples of stitching on the leather so we could choose. Victor goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. He helps anticipate what you need and makes thoughtful recommendations. During this process we worked with a designer who helped us pick out the fabric. Victor was wonderful working with us and also interfacing with the designer to create a wonderful product. I recently hired Knop's Upholstery to recover two loveseats, which have been in my family for over 60 years. Needless to say, I have grown quite fond of them, but over the years wear and tear as well as cat scratches have taken their toll. Once contacted, Victor was at my door with a myriad of sample booklets as well as excellent advice. Since the Christmas holiday was fast approaching I was eager to have the work done ASAP. Once I had chosen the fabric, the furniture was picked up post haste and after only 2 + weeks returned to me looking fantastic. My husband, Duncan Mason and I, Deirdre McHugh highly recommend Knops Upholstery. We have had the good fortune of knowing Stacy and Victor Rodriguez for two years and they have been a pleasure to know and work with in restoring our antiques. We have had three Empire chairs recovered in red velvet as well as a Lincoln rocker. The workmanship is excellent, the choice of color and fabric, perfect. Victor and Margarita Rodriguez, his mother showed such patience and expertise in locating just the right materials. Delighted by their skill, quick turnover time and reasonable price, we asked them to upholster our two prized silk damask wing chairs. Victor found a pattern, more beautiful than what we already had and pointed out his preference of using gold toned damask to warm the area where the chairs belong. Indeed, the result was phenomenal. Without our even knowing it, the wood around the base of the chairs was re-stained, and at no extra cost. We finally decided to have Victor tackle our French, Louis XIV couch and it looks better than when we purchased it. The double welting that he suggested enhances the delicate lines of the wood surrounding the velvet. We are delighted by the restoration of so many of our pieces and would be happy to speak with anyone contemplating upholstery work. The Rodriguez family has at all times been easy to work with from setting up consultation dates, detailed pricing accounts, to the finished product. I appreciated the fact that I could contact Stacy by e-mail or Victor on his cell phone, at a moment’s notice. The date of delivery and the cost have always been accurate and very reasonable.
